Justin Bieber Upset with Selena Gomez Over Emotional AMA Performance?

Those who tuned in to the American Music Awards couldn't help but be touched when Selena Gomez gave a raw and emotional performance of her new single, "Heart Wants What it Wants." Dressed in a pale pink gown, Gomez looked stunning against a changing background which at one point, showed a pair of angel wings right behind Gomez. At the end of her performance, the singer looked very emotional and was teary-eyed.

According to Hollywoodlife, the song was all about her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, and the website reports that Bieber has listened to the single and liked it. But he reportedly wasn't a big fan of the performance and claims that Gomez was exploiting their relationship.

A source close to Bieber told the website, "Justin thinks Selena was exploiting their relationship by being so dramatic on stage and making it seem like he's the heartbreaker in all of this."

The singer also did not attend the AMAs upon the advice of his pastor.

"Justin's team and pastor Carl Lenz convinced him to skip the American Music Awards and spend time at the Hillsong Church in New York City instead. He's been reminded to spread the gospel instead of dwell in the trappings of Hollywood," said a source to Hollywoodlife.

Meanwhile, Gomez's good friends Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Karlie Kloss stood by her after her performance at the AMAs. After the show, Gomez posted an Instagram photo with Swift kissing her on the cheek while Lorde and Kloss and their other friends were behind them and smiling.

"No better way to end my night. Surrounded by SO much love," she captioned the photo.
