Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been appearing in intimate pictures with one another recently and the former's pastor may have had a hand in the pair reconciling.
Although the two split late in 2012 after being romantically linked for two years, rumors of a reconciliation were fueled when the pair appeared in Norway at the same time during Bieber's recent "Believe" tour stop. Bieber,19, fueled speculation about a possible reunion with Gomez, 20 by posting two Instagram images of the pair cuddled together in recent weeks.
Some believe that the reason for the reconciliation is Bieber's mentor and friend, Pastor Judah Smith.
"Pastor Judah pleaded with Selena to fly to Norway," a source reportedly told Star magazine. "She's the only person who can stop Justin from having a breakdown."
While the news has yet to be confirmed by Bieber, his Pastor or Gomez, the minister has made it clear that he has invested in the Canadian crooner's salvation.
"Justin and I share Scriptures on a regular basis and communicate," Smith recently told E! "And I think you find a lot of comfort and clarity in the Scriptures."
Smith, the leader of The City Church in Seattle, Wash., has made it clear that he seeks to uplift Bieber.
"I do my best to encourage him, and he's a spectacular young man," Smith said during an appearance on Fox earlier this year.
Still, Gomez is not ready to confirm the context of her relationship with Bieber.
"I think I've actually given enough of myself, if that makes sense," Gomez told Z100 radio station when asked about Bieber last month. "I feel within my music, and even how I handle myself in interviews, people think they know, but they really actually don't … in a way, I like to keep myself a little bit private, but at the same time people do assume things."
