Kate Upton to Receive 2013 Model of the Year Award at the 10th Annual Style Awards
Model Kate Upton is the 2013 Model of the Year, the highest award a model can win, and will be receiving it at the 10th Annual Style Awards in New York City.
Nicole Richie will be hosting the awards show on Wednesday night, where in addition to Upton, some of the biggest stars in fashion will be celebrated.
The young model added high fashion magazine, Vogue, to her list of covers this year in addition to her much publicized Sports Illustrated Swimsuit addition.
The 21-year-old became a face for David Yurman's jewelry line, will also be in the upcoming movie The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz.
However, perhaps the model may work to distance herself from modeling in the future and seek to get new gigs because of the toll it takes.
"I'm not a toy, I'm a human," she said in an interview with Elle magazine. "I'm not here to be used."
As far as her personal life, Upton was previously dating MLB player Justin Verlander from the Detroit Tigers, and Mark Sanchez, quarterback of the New York Jets.
She has also been linked to the L.A. Clippers' Blake Griffin after she was seen holding hands with him, according to The New York Post. The pair was spotted in New York City's Beauty and Essex.
