Large Scale Evangelistic Campaign In North India Launched
World Help is launching a massive evangelistic campaign in the most populated state of India known as the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. With the population of 175 million, Uttar Pradesh is also the least reached area of the world, having less than 1 believer in 1000 peoples.
The organization is planning to plant 100 thousand organized churches by 2011 in Uttar Pradesh. World Help hopes to bring the light of Jesus Christ to Uttar Pradesh through prayer, evangelism, and discipleship.
World Help has approved a strategy consisting of 3 approaches to extend the hand of God to 10 million North Indians in the next seven years. The 3 approaches are: training national church planters, supplying support for church planting teams, and providing an “organized church” in each region. 500 teams will be dispatched to almost 100,000 villages and each village will have an organized church.
