Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans Live Stream: Watch NBA Basketball Online

It's a battle between two struggling teams as the Los Angeles Lakers host the New Orleans Pelicans at the Staples Center in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

The match-up is on January 12, 2016 at 10:30 PM ET.

Both hailing from the Western Conference, these franchises are at the bottom of their respective divisions and are desperately trying to improve their standings as the second half of the season arrives.

The Lakers are in the Pacific Division which is currently being ruled by the Golden State Warriors. They are very far from where the leaders are at the moment and what the Lakers should continue to do is grow their young core's chemistry and try to move forward for the coming seasons.

As for the Pelicans, it seems like a tough road ahead as they try to get back to the playoff picture. They are only a little better than the Lakers in terms of wins in the season, but they find themselves in the same predicament as they are the last in the Southwest Division.

It certainly does not help that the Pelicans are in a strong group where all the teams in the division are considered playoff teams, but the Pelicans were able to do something about it last year and want to do that again.

Their wins must start now and at the expense of another struggling squad in the Lakers. New Orleans should help Anthony Davis as he cannot lift the load on his own and his teammates should step-up.

On the other hand, the Lakers should find the best way to play together and simply not rely on one player exploding for a big game for them to have a chance to win.

This may not have the look of a playoff match-up, but these are two popular teams and it will be exciting to watch.
