Talbot, Voracek, Lilja Heading To Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers have come to terms with Jakub Voracek, Andreas Lilja, and Max Talbot, having signed with the third to a multi-year contract.

Although the details of these deals were not revealed following strict club policies, the Daily News reported that Talbot should remain in Philadelphia for the next five years in a $9 million contract while Voracek should remain for a single NHL season with $2.25 million as pay.

Talbot previously turned down an offer from the Penguins for a three year term and voiced out his opinion to sign with the Flyers by saying, "It wasn't so much about money but finding the right fit for me," in an interview on TSN according to Yahoo! News.

Known for his remarkable play in the Penguins' clinching of the Stanley Cup in 2009 the two time playoff MVP will move his talents to a radically roster shifting Philadelphia that hasn't won the Stanley Cup since 1975.

Voracek, the Czech native winger who posted 14 goals and 46 points in 80 games for the Jackets in the previous season, will team up with 35 year old veteran Lilja, the Swede who played for the Anaheim Ducks last season, to help the Flyer's rise to championship caliber for the upcoming season.

Talbot, originally from Quebec, has totaled 52 goals and 108 points in his career.
