The San Antonio Spurs try to get a big series lead over the Memphis Grizzlies when they meet at the FedExForum for Game 3 of their Western Conference playoff matchup in the National Basketball Association.

This matchup is on April 22, 2016 at 9:30 PM ET.

Coming into the post season in the second seed, the Spurs have displayed so much dominance so far in the series as they dominated the Grizzlies over the course of two games.

Playing the first two battles at the AT&T Center, San Antonio established their superiority over their rivals by beating them with large margins.

In the first game, San Antonio's defence held strong in the first quarter as they held the Grizzlies to only 13 points to build a nine-point lead.

By halftime, the lead had crawled to double figures and thanks to another impressive defensive display in the third quarter, the Spurs opened the game after outscoring Memphis 33-14 in the third period.

The game's final score was 106-74, with Kahwi Leonard scoring 20 points to lead the Spurs to victory, while Vince Carter did his best to help the Grizzlies with 16 points and three rebounds.

In the second game, the Grizzlies hoped to keep the matchup tight and try to go for a rally to upset the Spurs, but San Antonio continued to display the same efficiency to only allow Memphis 11 points in the first period.

This time, the Spurs continued their onslaught throughout the game, eventually stamping their dominance in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Grizzlies 24-15 to end the game with a 94-68 victory; and extending their lead in the series to 2-0.

Now, with the scene shifting to Memphis, the Grizzlies are going to try to cut the series lead in half, while the Spurs are looking to go up 3-0 in the series and try and finish off the Grizzlies while playing away from home.
