Mexico have called up uncapped Cruz Azul star Christian Gimenez and only once-capped Tigres star Damian Alvarez, both naturalized Argentinians. However, Lucas Lobos, was surprisingly left out of the squad for today's game.

Other stars not making it out today are European-based players Guillermo Ochoa, Hector Herrera, Andres Guardado and Javier Aquino.

Meanwhile, Hector Moreno, Diego Reyes and Giovani dos Santos were all called up for the squad tonight.

The Ivory Coast have also called up four uncapped players into their squad for their match against Mexico tonight. In addition, five other players selected have less than five caps each. It should be a big experience for those players, although it could end up being a long night for them if Mexico play to their potential.
