Miley Cyrus' Racy Pictures Leaked

Miley Cyrus has again found herself mired in controversy following the release of provocative new pictures of the singer that were allegedly taken in 2010.

The racy photos, which were reportedly leaked and later posted on celebrity gossip website Hollywoodlife.com, show 19-year-old Cyrus dressed in skimpy lingerie while shooting the music video for her 2010 pop song "Who Owns My Heart."

Cyrus can be seen posing provocatively and in one shot is almost seductively kissing a female companion. It is still unclear who leaked the photos.

This is not the first time that the former Disney star has been subject to leaked photos. In April 2008 several provocative pictures of Cyrus were leaked online by 19-year-old hacker Josh Holly.

He hacked into her personal Gmail account and some critics question whether he may also be responsible for the recent leak.

Weeks after the leak, Cyrus posed topless during a Vanity Fair photoshoot with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and was forced to apologize after receiving widespread backlash.

"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Cyrus told People magazine.

"The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone," she went on.

"Most of al I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life's journey," she added.

Cyrus, who has faced intense media scrutiny ever since Vanity Fair released the photos, recently made global headlines after confirming that she is currently engaged to "The Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth, 22.

"I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam." Cyrus told People.
