Miley Cyrus was photographed smoking a suspicious-looking cigarette in recent weeks, reigniting fears that the singer may again be using marijuana.

In newly released photos, allegedly taken in February, Cyrus, 20, is seen laughing hysterically while clutching a hand-rolled cigarette. The singer was sitting on her hotel room balcony in Miami at the time that the photos were taken, she openly puffs away on the suspicious-looking cigarette, according to

The photos come just weeks after a woman resembling Cyrus was seen puffing on a suspicious-looking hand-rolled cigarette in a photo posted on social networking site Instagram. The photo caption states "High as f---."

"Why is everybody trippin. My timeline is blowing up. Everything's all good in my life just in a creative space right now," Cyrus tweeted after receiving widespread backlash over the Instagram photo.

In addition to the recent photo scandal, the former Disney star recently collaborated with rapper Snoop Lion, who is an admitted marijuana user, on a controversial new song entitled "Ashtrays And Heartbreaks." The song appears to allude to drug use, although the term "marijuana" is never directly mentioned.

"Tonight there's gonna be a whole lot of smoke in the air, blow it high for the ones who ain't here," Snoop Lion raps.

"Now my buzz is gone, and I need to re-up on reality," Cyrus sings.

Cyrus has found herself mired in controversy over the last few years due to alleged drug use. The singer, who is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth, previously made references to smoking marijuana, which angered fans.

"You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f------ weed," Cyrus told guests at her 19th birthday party, according to TMZ.

Photos of Cyrus smoking from a bong went viral prior to her remarks. She is the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, and he quickly released a public statement condemning the pictures.
