"Praise God, Matt Hill is alive, unharmed. I thank God for the amazing love this congregation has poured out over these last few days," Dever said via Twitter Sunday morning.

Hill works for Christian Outreach Washington, a youth ministry which has offices at Capitol Hill Baptist Church.

A message on the Facebook page for Hill, Praying and Searching for Matt Hill *Missing *, also confirmed this morning he was found.

"We need to clarify. We confirm Matt has been found and is alive and unharmed. He also left on his own will. We don't have any answers. We praise God he is alive, but ask you continue to pray," read the Facebook post.

A volunteer answering the phone at Capitol Hill Baptist Church Sunday morning told The Christian Post that she also heard that he has been found. She said church members heard the news from Facebook and has no other information that would find it to be untrue.

The Twitter account FindMattHill also announced that 26-year-old Hill was found and that he left on his own will.

"As of right now, the only true and confirmed details are A: Matt was found live and unharmed. B: He left under his own volition," FindMattHill tweeted Sunday.

Family and friends of Hill have been searching for him for the last few days.

On Saturday, hundreds of friends and members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church spent the day passing out flyers in Washington, D.C., in hopes of obtaining any information they can to find him. His father, Holger Hill, also came up from North Carolina to search for his son.

Hill, Campus Outreach director at George Washington University, was last seen near the Verizon Center, where he dropped off a student Tuesday morning. His car, a 1996 black Honda Civic with DC plate number DT 2747, was also missing.

Thousands of supporters online had prayed for Hill over the past several days. Nearly 10,000 joined the Facebook page dedicated to his search and over 2,000 followed FindMattHill on Twitter.

Many prominent Christian leaders like John Piper also joined in praying for Hill to be found, retweeting messages of his status.

On Sunday morning, they were relieved and thankful when they learned he was finally found.

"Very thankful that Matt Hill has been found, alive & well. Thanks for praying," Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, tweeted Sunday.
