Moto G (2015) Specs Rumors: New Live Photos of Dummy Units Confirms IPx7 Certification

Even with barely a week left before its official unveiling, specification leaks of Motorola's Moto G (2015) keeps on surfacing online. This time around, a couple of images show the smartphone's IPx7 certification.

GSMArena.com shared a couple of new live photos of the Moto G's dummy unit. The picture apparently gave all what a would-be buyer wants to know about the device.

As highlighted in the report, the third iteration of Motorola's mid-range smartphone has the IPx7 certification. This means that the handset is submersible into up to 1 meter of water for as long as 30 minutes. It is noted though, that unlike its rugged counterparts, the upcoming Moto G is not dust proof.

Other details revealed in the pictures affirm earlier rumors that it will be hitting the market with a quad-core CPU and a microSD card slot which allow users to extend its memory storage space.

For its camera, the image tells of a 13MP primary snapper and a 5MP secondary camera. The device will also feature a 4G LTE support as well as a 2,470 mAh battery.

As for its overall specs, several media outlets concur to the reports that the Moto G 2015 will come with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel display, a 64-bit Snapdragon SoC with a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of memory.

It is also expected to come out with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS already installed. As of its recent AnTuTu benchmark results, the device scored a decent 23355 points.
