NeNe Leakes Would Rather 'Quit' Than Take 'RHOA' Pay Cut?

NeNe Leakes is the subject of rumors that she will quit "Real Housewives of Atlanta" part-time after taking a pay cut for appearing on the show part time.

While the 46-year-old actress and Bravo TV star has been fueling rumors that she will not return to the popular series, RumorFix is reporting that the reason could have something to do with her lack of scenes and fans viewing them.

"NeNe balked at the idea of going part-time and said she would quit first," a source said, according to RumorFix. "If she wants the same pay, Bravo will require that she shoot more with the other ladies."

Leakes reportedly makes upwards of $1 million per season, according to Radar Online, and the latest reports claim that her part time appearance would only guarantee her $500,000. However, RumorFix reached out to Leakes' representatives, claiming that the reports are false.

Leakes will return to the popular Bravo TV show in the same capacity that she has for six seasons. Last month, Leakes revealed who would be invited back to the series.

"Everybody has been invited back, but I don't know exactly what I'm doing," Leakes told Life & Style magazine. "This past season was very dark and toxic; there was a lot of negativity. I just don't want to work with so much negativity."

Still, the publication reports that the reality television personality would ask for more money if she did decide to return.

"All of us deserve a raise," Leakes told Life & Style magazine. "I haven't asked for more money yet, but I damn sure plan to!"

Leakes' return the show may seem confusing to some, weeks after she previously admitted that there was no guarantee she would appear on the show in the same way.

"I will still work for Bravo. I'm happy to stay on. We just need to work out some things," NeNe previously told Rob Shuter of NaughtyButNiceRob.com. "I'm happy to do some things. I don't know if I'm happy to be a full-time Housewife."
