The Nexus 7 (2013) was released shortly before the summer of last year and introduced Android 4.3 JellyBean to the market. It features impressive specs including a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 HD display, 2GB RAM, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 16/32GB of internal storage, built-in wireless charging, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.
The tablet also introduced Android 4.3, JellyBean which was unveiled alongside the device earlier this year. The display on the Nexus 7 is 1080p which makes it the first Full HD 7-inch slate. The device's virtual sound technology is also quite impressive, as it gives users a 5.1 surround sound experience by using headphones or built-in speakers.
The 7-inch Nexus monster sparked huge interest in the mid-end tablet market joining the likes of the Kindle Fire and Nook with the release of the original model in 2012. Google has been able to outclass both of those slates thanks to superior specs and the strong reputation the Nexus name has.
