Opera VPN on Android: How to Use the Free Unlimited VPN Service [DETAILS]

Opera's Free VPN Service is On Android

Opera already rolled out an app for iOS users that gives their Apple devices free VPN access and now, they're doing the same for Android as well.

Opera made an announcement earlier this year that they will be giving Android users a free and unlimited VPN app service someday. That day is today. Opera's free and unlimited VPN app lets users safely browse online and it may even let them get around region locks and more.

How to Use the Opera Free VPN Service on Android
The free Opera VPN app is currently available for download at the Google Play Store. Android users just need to use their chosen smartphone to download and install the app and start using it for free. For those who are not so familiar with using VPN services, you do not have to worry as the Opera VPN will adjust its own settings.

Opera Free VPN Service on Android Details
According to its official Play Store page, the Opera VPN is unlimited and free of charge. It described itself as reliable and one of the fastest VPN services available today. Using the Opera VPN will allow Android users to have access to region-locked locations in different countries including US, Singapore, Germany, Canada and more.

Engadget notes that the free Opera VPN can block ad trackers on the mobile device. There is no data limit to the app so users can use it as long as they want to. Furthermore, the free Opera VPN can check the WiFi network security level, search for threats and connection encryption as well. However, it can affect the internet speed for a little bit, but it's nothing major to worry about.

Opera Free VPN – Completely Free of Charge Forever?
The Opera VPN is provided by Opera company, SurfEast Inc. and while it is free for now, it is unknown if the app will be free of charge forever.

"The Opera VPN app for Android sets itself apart from other VPNs by offering a completely free service without a data limit, no login required, advanced WiFi protection features and no need for a subscription," Chris Houston of SurfEasy VPN division said, as reported by Tech Crunch.

One of the reasons why Opera VPN stays free is because it displays ads. Slash Gear wrote that the app will not store any user activities.
