'More foreshadowing than fulfillment': Pastors react to US bombings of Iranian nuclear sites

3. Jentezen Franklin
Bestselling author Jentezen Franklin, the senior pastor of multi-campus church Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, thanked President Trump for helping to "protect America, Israel, and the free world."
In an X post published Saturday, Franklin, 62, wrote: "Thank you Mr. President for decisive, courageous action to help protect America, Israel, and the free world. The Middle East is safer and the world is safer tonight. I pray the tide continues to turn for our friends in Israel, throughout the Middle East, and for all of Iran, including its Christian population that has endured constant oppression."
He also prayed for God's protection upon Israel to stop any future attacks: "May God protect Israel from any further terror attacks, may He protect our troops, and may He bring eternal peace to Jerusalem. We will keep shining the light in the darkness."
In a 2018 op-ed published by CP, Franklin urged Christians to pray for the state of Israel, saying the creation of the Jewish state is "truly a miracle, and the fact that Israel exists to this present day is testament to the Lord's timeless promise."
