Phony Matrimony
On May 15,2008, the California Supreme Court ruled that barring same-sex couples from marriage is unconstitutional and that same-sex couples can now marry. Because of this decision, Proposition 8 will now appear on the November ballot. If passed, it will add a new constitutional amendment to the California Constitution that will state: "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."
And the battle wages on.
As our secular humanistic culture continues to undermine and distort God's moral laws, (Romans 1:18-27, Psalm 2:1-3), Jesus clearly states that marriage is between a man and a woman. (Matthew 19:4-6)
In God's sight, marriage is between a man and a woman that reflects God's covenant relationship with his church, the Bride of Christ. (Ephesians 5:22-32)
Anything else is just plain phony.
