Pink Combats Parenting Critics In Twitter Tirade
Pink is fighting back against critics who slammed the singer for letting her young daughter go on a motorcycle ride.
The "Don't Let Me Get Me" singer is married to motorcycle racer Carey Hart who allowed their two-year-old daughter Willow on a BMX ride with him over the weekend.
"Been waiting for this day for a very long time. Willz went for her 1st ride on my motorcycle around the pits today," Hart posted to Instagram along with photos featuring the father and daughter together on the motorbike.
"She was pumped the whole time," he continued. "When we stopped, she gave me a big hug and said it was fun, thank you Papa. That's my girl."
Despite the fun and safe outing, social media users lashed out on Hart and his wife, causing Pink to launch a defensive attack.
"If any of u have more experience on a bike than my husband, then I will listen to your opinions on how he should take my daughter for a ride," the 34-year-old wrote to her nearly 20 million Twitter followers.
"I can't promise I will care, but I will listen none the less," Pink added.
Then, the singer also known as Alecia Beth Moore, went on to sarcastically reply to comments from Twitter users such as one fan's post, "Wait until she's 16 and let her decide for herself. Bikes are no joke."
"I've never met you but that's great," Pink replied.
Another fan posted, "Honestly.. I wouldn't like the idea of a child so young being on a bike," to which Pink replied, "Then I don't recommend it for your child."
Finally, the singer posted a sarcastic comeback, "This is fun. Mkay I'm gonna go now. Gotta figure out what Wills is wearing tomorrow for her MANIACAL MOTO MANIA!!! Gotta pack veggies too! Organic!"
Regardless of critiques of her parenting, Pink has admitted that becoming a mother changed her life.
"It's a different kind of partying," the singer said to Philadelphia's Q102 radio station. "It used to be whiskey, tears and cigarettes. Now it's [my baby's] kind of tears, no cigarettes and the color of poop. Pure joy. I miss the whiskey. Not the cigarettes."
"I'm blessed," she later added. "I like myself more than I used to."
