Police Discover Dead Body in Front of Rapper Rick Ross' Home

Police discovered the dead body of man on Wednesday who appeared to be shot to death in front of the Miami Gardens home of rapper Rick Ross.

Ross was not present at the time when the man was shot and police are not treating him as a suspect. However, they will bring him into questioning in order to further their investigation.

The rapper normally uses this property where the crime occurred as a recording a studio and also allows friends to stay there.

The victim's car was removed from the property by police, according to a report from the Miami Herald.

Police arrived on the scene shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday after reports of shots being fired came in for the area of Northwest 32nd Avenue and 181st Street.

According to Police spokesman Sgt. Bill Bamford local authorities found the bloody body of a 40-year-old man in the front yard of the house at 3203 NW 181st St., upon their arrival. The body was located just beyond the home's main gate opening that leads to the front door.

Police are unsure of how the man ended up there. Homicide detectives on the case have yet to reveal the name of the man who was murdered or what may have led to the crime being committed.

The shooting occurred in front of the home of William Leonard Roberts, better known by his stage name Rick Ross.

Ross is famous for creating hit records such as "Hustling," "BMF (Blowin Money Fast)", and "Stay Schemin."

The rapper also has had his fair share of run-ins with the law including gun and marijuana charges in Miami Beach in 2008. He also made headlines last year when he suffered a seizure during a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis that left him unconscious.
