The wife of president-elect Trump found herself in a plagiarism controversy last July when she addressed the Republican National Convention.

The next First Lady of the United States apparently lifted several lines from a 2008 speech given by outgoing FLOTUS Michelle Obama.

"The apparent plagiarism was originally pointed out by journalist and interior designer Jarrett Hill on Twitter," reported The Huffington Post.

"As the day continued, the Trump campaign and its supporters offered a slew of reasons for the lifted words ― including that the plagiarism was a compliment or simply an accident."

When addressing the controversy soon after, Michelle jokingly told Stephen Colbert of "The Late Show" that "Yeah, that was tough."
