Pope Francis Joins Instagram Fun, Vatican Posts 'Throwback Thursday' Photo

One of the most popular hashtags on Instagram is #tbt, or "Throwback Thursday," where users share photos of themselves from years gone by.

This week, Pope Francis continued to hold his finger on the pulse of all things internet by taking part in Throwback Thursdsay. The Vatican posted this Papal blast from the past on Instagram, a photo of His Holiness when he was known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Oh, the places you'll go, young Jorge.
