"Rocket League" Basketball Mode Arriving in April

Good news for all "Rocket League" fans. Developer and publisher Psyonix announced that they are adding in a new mode that will surely delight basketball aficionados out there. The better news is that it's coming very soon. "Rocket League" is known for its physics-based vehicle soccer gameplay but this time around, just in time for the NBA playoffs, it will be the rim gamers rush to in order to score.

According to Game Spot, it has been a while already since Psyonix teased about the basketball-themed mode. It was even hinted to come out along with March Madness. But it has been recently revealed through Twitter that the mode will be called as "Hoops" and it will be arriving sometime in April. The San Diego-based video game studio also disclosed that the arena or the court that the gamers will be playing at is called the Dunk House.

And to increase the hype among fans, Psyonix has released a sneak peek .gif of what seemed to be the slam dunk version of the game. It came with the caption "Break some axles in the Dunk House this April! #RocketLeagueHoops."

Apart from that, Psyonix did not release a lot of details. Polygon reported that the specific date of arrival of the mode has not been announced yet, which means fans will have to stay tuned for future updates. It is also not known how many players will be able to join or engage in Hoops at once. It may or may not carry out three-man teams just like the Snow Day mode introduced last year. There is no word also on whether the upcoming mode will be time-limited or permanent in the game.

It's expected that the basketball mode will be arriving next month at no cost just like how it was with previous game mode additions like ice hockey.
