Sean William Scott ended his engagement to Frimodt, with his representative officially confirming the split. Although the "American Pie" actor proposed to the in early 2012, their breakup is allegedly a friendly one.

The 35-year-old actor revealed to the world over a year ago that he and the Victoria's Secret model had taken their romance to the next level at the premiere of "American Reunion," the fourth installment of the popular comedy movies. Scott, known for the crass character Steve Stifler, joked that he was surprised the two were getting married.

"I don't know how I got a girl like my fiancée," Scott said in March. "She hadn't seen American Pie. Thank God. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be engaged."

Nevertheless, the two called it splits. Before Frimodt, Scott was seen with actresses Jaimie King and January Jones.

Scott and Frimodt aren't the only celebrity couple that has broken up recently. A much longer relationship, the marriage of Mark Steines and actress Leanza Cornett, is headed for divorce after 17 years.

The intent to divorce was revealed in a statement Friday, and both spouses agreed that their main concern was for the welfare of their two children, Kai Harper and Avery James.

"After a great deal of thought and consideration, we have decided to dissolve our 17-year marriage," the couple told Us Weekly. "At this time our concern is for our boys as we help them with this difficult transition. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."
