Sean Young Arrested, Demands Apology

Actress Sean Young, who was arrested early this morning after allegedly assaulting a security guard, is demanding a formal apology from the guard.

She was trying to get into the Governors Ball, an elite Oscars after-party, when she was apprehended and placed under citizen's arrest. It was not immediately known what prompted the arrest, but Young has maintained her innocence. "I was just standing by the little line [outside the Governors Ball]; I wasn't bother anybody," she told People.

Young then explained that she didn't have a ticket to the Ball but was hoping to get pictures with other celebrities. "They said, 'No, you have to leave. I started to leave and [the guard] grabbed my arm and he started pulling me. And I turned around, and I was pulling my arm away and I struck him."

She was taken to a Los Angeles police station, charged with battery, and released on $20,000 bail. "They need to make a public apology on behalf of their security guard," Young told People. "I was well-behaved. It was fine…and the surveillance tape will bear that out. It's atrocious behavior on the Academy's part."

Young has had a history of scuffling with authorities. In 2006 she was kicked out of Vanity Fair's after party while attempting to sneak in behind Jennifer Aniston. The star has a known alcohol problem and has sought treatment, but her actions have yet to be reformed.

She came to fame with an appearance in "Blade Runner" and "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective." Young has more recently appeared on "Celebrity Rehab" with Dr. Drew Pinsky.

"I'm a comeback waiting to happen. No one deserves it more than I do. So what I would wish for me is good luck. Just a lot of good luck," she said in 2007. Right now, though, it doesn't appear that her luck is changing or that she will be getting that apology.
