Sony Xperia Z4 Compact Rumors: Miniature Flagship Already On Its Way? Find Out Its Supposed Release Date

Sony has a very unpredictable timetable for the release of its upcoming devices, and that includes its current flagship, which was just officially announced several weeks ago.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a new rumor claims that the Compact version, or Xperia Z4 Compact is already gearing for its own announcement.

The report came from a Russian website, stating that the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact could be announced on May 13, which is next week.

As opposed to the Xperia Z4, which was announced as a Japan-exclusive handset, the Z4 Compact will allegedly be available in more markets, including the U.S.

So what makes the Xperia Z4 Compact an exciting phone to wait for?

A couple of years ago, Sony unveiled the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, which was a smaller Xperia Z1 handset, but boasts even better specs.

This year, a lot of people expected the Xperia Z4 to blow away the competition with better specs, new features, and most of all, worldwide availability. The fact that the Japanese manufacturer missed most of those expectations gives it the chance to redeem itself in the rumored Xperia Z4 Compact.

According to the details that came from Russia, the Z4 Compact has a model number of SO-04G.

While the news of an upcoming Sony handset is exciting, readers better take this update with a pinch of salt.
