The publication of a new report on Catholic youth, titled “National Study of Youth and Religion: Analysis of the Population of Catholic Teenagers and their Parents,” reveals fascinating facts regarding today’s Catholic youth.

Authored by Charlotte McCorquodale, Ph.D., Victoria Shepp, M.A., and Leigh Sterten, M.T.S., M.S.A.S., the report analyzes data from 816 studies that were made through phone interviews with 3,370 teens and thier parents.

The National Stuy of Youth and Religion (NSYR), which conducted the interviews, examined the religious practices and beliefs, participation in youth ministry, and religious education of young Catholics. The group also studied mass attendance, and other viable information on young Catholics' families and lifestyles.

Copies of the report, published last December by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), an organization that provides service to Catholic youth ministry, are available for purchase at NFCYM's on-line store: http://store.nfcym.org/store/merchant.mv
