'Switched at Birth' Season 4B News, Spoilers: Constance Marie Teases Series Development
Great news for the fans of the hit teen family TV drama series "Switched at Birth," show's cast member revealed that the cast and crew are now getting ready to work on the remainder of its Season 4.
Constance Marie, who plays the character Regina on the show, recently took to her social media on Saturday to share a picture of her holding what appears to be a script for the series' new episode.
"That's right people!!!! we start shooting soon!!!" her Twitter post reads. "#SwitchedAtBirth Season 4 'B'!!!!!!!! #CelebrateGoodTimesComeOn!"
Followers of the show seemed to receive the update with a shared feeling of excitement and anticipation.
The publication, meanwhile, pointed out that there are still a lot of storylines to which the show could take in the upcoming Season 4B episodes which "some could be more intense than others."
The show already featured perhaps one of the most daring and controversial plots that a TV show could take on. This particularly refers to Bay's (Vanessa Marano) campus "rape" issue.
The scene, as avid followers may remember, points out to Bay getting very drunk in a party and wakes up the next morning in bed with her ex-boyfriend.
Words fly around fast around the campus and the incident was brought down before the school's officials. She maintained that she was unsure of the events that took place between her and Tank.
Series creator Lizzy Weiss, who previously spoke with Flavorwire, admits that she expected some negative response from the viewers, especially those working on women's advocacy.
"I was prepared for (some) women and rape survivors to be really angry that we were telling a story in which the act is not clearly labeled 'assault.' But to my surprise, women (and survivors) are just really happy that we are putting the story out there and getting the conversation going. That's the most important thing," Weiss revealed.
"Switched at Birth" is slated to return on ABC Family this summer.
