Tamela Mann is doing something new with her upcoming album. She is taking things to a new level by joining forces with Sony RED distribution.

While Tamela and her comedian husband, David Mann, have been making waves for years with their own record label, Tillymann Music Group, they announced a major distribution partnership with a branch of Sony Entertainment called RED.

David spoke about his excitement for the new collaboration.

"I have great respect for RED's leadership and complete confidence in the team's capabilities. Tillymann Music Group is excited by the synergy of collaborating with our new distributor, and we look forward to this new venture," David, the president of Tillymann Music, said in a statement released by the Gospel Music Association.

The news comes before the release of Tamela's upcoming fourth solo studio album One Way, which is due for release later this year. Bob Morelli, the president of RED, spoke highly about the upcoming album and collaboration.

"We are delighted to be joining forces with Tamela Mann and Tillymann Music Group. The new music from the upcoming album is stunning," Morelli said, according to the GMA. "I have tremendous admiration for their award-winning catalogue, and this upcoming Tamela Mann release marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership for RED Distribution."

The vocalist, who got her start singing in Kirk Franklin's choir, previously spoke about her success coming from not allowing people to crush her dreams.

"Don't take 'no' for an answer. Every no is not detrimental to you," she previously told The Christian Post. "When you can't go on, you learn from it. You learn from the mistakes you made and you keep building, you keep working at it."

Tamela is not the only person making Tillymann Music Group successful. The label is a joint effort and David previously told CP about the process of working with his wife to help her create positive music to uplift God's kingdom.

"...When working with each other on Tamela's projects we listen to the lyrics and say 'is that going to uplift? Is it going to build the kingdom?'" David revealed to CP. "It has to be about uplifting and bringing joy for us."

The 49-year-old gospel singer and actress made history last year as the first gospel artist on the Billboard Gospel Radio charts to have three consecutive songs from one album earn the No. 1 spot.

Mann's song "This Place" was the third song from her album Best Days! that topped the Billboard Gospel Radio chart, following in the footsteps of her previous singles "Take Me To The King," which spent 24 weeks at the top and "I Can Only Imagine" which spent 13 weeks at No. 1.

Mann expressed her gratitude for her achievement in a press release.

"What an incredible blessing. So many radio stations and fans have been a part of this journey," she said. "I'm so grateful and thankful to them all."
