Taylor Swift: Boyfriend 'Isn't Really Possible,' Taking A Break From Dating?

Fans who have kept track of Taylor Swift's love life know that the singer had a few not so good experiences with her past boyfriends. In an interview Swift admitted that finding a boyfriend "isn't really possible" at the moment.

"It just doesn't seem like a possibility in the near future. It doesn't ever work. What works is having incredible girlfriends who I can trust and tell everything," she told The Guardian.

The singer also said that her new single "1989" is about being a single woman, living "on your own terms" and proving that you can "do it" on your own without needing a man or a relationship.

One only needs to listen to her music, as Swift is known to reference her exes on her songs.

One ex who has been subtly referred to is Joe Jonas in her song "Forever & Always." Another song, "Back to December," is said to be about Taylor Lautner. Jake Gyllenhaal was alluded to in "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "The Moment I Knew," while John Mayer is said to be the inspiration for "Dear John" and "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Right now, Swift is taking a break from boy problems as she surrounds herself with her female friends. The singer has many close friendships with other female celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Lena Dunham, Hailee Steinfeld, Lorde, and Karlie Kloss among others, and Swift is often seen with one or a few of them on more than one occasion.

This year, few dating rumors have been spread about the star, save for Ed Sheeran, who is actually her close friend. Does this mean that the "Shake it Off" singer is taking a breather from dating?
