Beni Johnson – July 13, 2022
Beni Johnson, who alongside her husband, Bill Johnson, led Bethel Church of Redding, California, died after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 67.
She and her husband co-led Bethel beginning in 1996, with the congregation being known for its belief in the practice of faith-healing. The church also runs a School for Supernatural Ministry.
“My mom went home tonight,” stated Brian Johnson, one of her children, on his social media around the time of her passing. “Love you mom.”
Johnson had been diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2018, explaining at the time that she "asked Jesus, 'what do I do now?' I heard Jesus tell me, 'just love me.' I said, 'I can do this.'"
“There has been so much peace, and at times, those decisions that have to be made, the peace has helped me navigate through," she added.
