'The Originals' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Showrunner Michael Narducci Teases Eva Sinclair and Rebekah Showdown
Last week's showing of the hit supernatural TV drama series "The Originals" Season 2 saw Eva Sinclair (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) gaining back in control, leaving Rebekah (Claire Holt) trapped and helpless inside. But hope isn't lost for the prisoner as her brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will brew up plans to save her in the upcoming episode.
Executive producer Michael Narducci's spoke in a preview video where he dished out some details for this week's episode titled "Exquisite Corpse."
As teased, this segment will see the much anticipated "showdown" between the Mikaelson and the "spirit of the host body that she has taken over, Eva Sinclair." And Rebekah's got "some bad intentions," the executive producer added.
Speaking to People Magazine, cast member Joseph Morgan also shared some information about episode 17.
"This episode features a lot of the character Eva Sinclair, who is the original occupant of the body that Rebekah took," he said. "I'm very excited for the fans to see that stuff ... the last scene of the episode is very unexpected and amazing."
A synopsis for "Exquisite Corpse" was posted on the Futon Critic and it reads:
When Eva Sinclair's reemergence leaves Rebekah trapped and helpless, Klaus is forced to put aside his mistrust for Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) in order to save Rebekah's life. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Elijah learn more about Eva's violent past from Josephine (guest star Meg Foster), who then makes a startling revelation about Hayley's future. With time running out to save Rebekah, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) turns to a reluctant Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) for his help to take down Eva, but his plan takes an unexpected turn, as Eva will not go down without a fight.
"The Originals" Season 2 airs Monday, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
