The Strength This Young Boy and His Mom Have to Fight This Horrible Disease Is Incredible!
Strength, courage, and character are qualities we look for in our sports heroes. For this 14-year-old boy, sports are everything. He loves sports and dreams of being a professional hockey player. Jonathan Pitre, is just like any other teenage boy, but has to deal with a very rare skin condition. But, that doesn't hold him back from chasing his dreams!
This rare skin condition causes him constant pain, but if you met him and spoke with him, you could never tell. He is a strong young boy, and holds qualities that most kids his age haven't even acquired yet. There is no cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa, and unfortunately he is unable to take part in any physical activity. Instead of being down in the dumps because of this, Jonathan's spirit and determination is inspirational. His outlook on life and words are very motivational for all to hear.
Sports players and organizations use his words as encouragement for the future. Please keep Jonathan and his family in your prayers! One day, hopefully, there will be a cure for this horrific disease.
