Tina Yothers Back on TV in 'Celebrity Life Swap'

Child star Tina Yothers is all grown up and building her own “family ties.” Now she has swapped lives with self-described diva Niecy Nash in her appearance on reality show “Celebrity Life Swap.” It was a big change for the stay-at-home mother of three.

Yothers is best known for her role of Jennifer Keaton on “Family Ties,” which launched the career of Michael J. Fox. Yothers said, though, that “Hollywood was never my cup of tea” and promptly left the business after “Ties” ended.

She then formed a band with her brother and made other TV appearances, including “Celebrity Fit Club” and now “Celebrity Wife Swap.”

Yothers traded lives with Niecy Nash, who has started on Style Network’s “Clean House” and “Dancing With the Stars.” Nash has three children and a new husband, and Yothers has attempted to help bring the two families together in new ways. Nash did not take well to Yothers’ life on a small farm complete with chickens, roosters, and much time spent outdoors.

During the swap, Yothers was “forced” to receive a day of pampering, including a manicure and pedicure, facial, and complete makeover, while Nash endured a day spent in the great outdoors, complete with fishing on the river, though she couldn’t handle sleeping outside in a tent and ended up calling a cab to rescue her.

Yothers enforced family together time with a family dinner. She told Nash’s family, “I hope to leave behind that there’s more to life than the mall and more to life than video games and more life in your family than you know.”
