Trump joked that he checked with Schumer before the dinner to see if he was OK with the joke, but noted Schumer told him, "You have gotta do what you gotta do."
During an interview with "Fox & Friends" on Friday morning, Trump claimed that he has known Schumer for many decades and contributed to his first campaign when he was running for office in the New York State Assembly.
