Scantily-clad trans activist wielding crucifix rips out pages of the Bible at 9/11 protest
A trans-identified performance artist tore pages from a Bible and read aloud from the book of Micah during a counter-protest outside New York City Hall on Friday, the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The counter-protest formed in response to a separate anti-Islam demonstration at the same location.
Video clips circulating on social media showed a man dressed in women's lingerie, wearing devil horns and holding a crucifix, opening the Bible, remarking that it felt heavy, then tearing out pages and throwing them to the ground. Police stood nearby but did not intervene.
The person then read aloud from Micah 5:10, “‘In that day,’ declares the LORD, ‘I will destroy your horses from among you and demolish your chariots. I will destroy the cities of your land and tear down all your strongholds.’”
Lifesite News identified the trans activist as Qween Amor, a performance artist previously known for provocative public displays in New York City, though it noted this identification was not confirmed.
Clips of the incident drew numerous reactions online, with commenters characterizing the display in starkly different terms, from condemnation to dismissal as an attention-seeking stunt.
“Is this what we call ‘free speech’??? People just being batshit crazy in public?” reads one comment.
Another comment reads, “Just trying to get likes on her TikTok. There are many on TikTok that do outrageous, disrespectful stuff.”
One user commented, “Attention seeker at its finest… what a disrespect to themself.”
