Tyler Perry Asks for 'Decency and Respect' in Bobbi Kristina Brown Speculation
The public was worried when news broke out this week about the arrival of a hearse at the back of the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth where Bobbi Kristina Brown has been for the past three weeks.
The presence of the vehicle could mean that Bobbi's family "is prepared to let her go, after doctors made it clear there was no real hope of recovery," according to TMZ. However, there was no confirmation if the hearse was intended for the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston.
Nonetheless, a person close to the Brown and Houston family sounded off his reaction to the disheartening news proliferated by several media outlets. Tyler Perry spoke about the issue through his social media post where he called out the fake, unconfirmed reports surrounding Bobbi's condition:
"And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time. For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it," he wrote.
"It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful. So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive. May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect? Not only to Krissi's family, but also to the other families that are there in this place," the director continued. "Not only is Krissi at the center but there are several other families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones at the same time. It's heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace."
Perry ended the note by saying that if anything should develop, "the family will issue an official statement."
"Until then, can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?" he concluded.
Brown, 22, was found unconscious in a bathtub of her home in Atlanta on Jan. 31. She was transferred to several other facilities after her admittance to North Fulton Hospital.
