Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko 2: Ex-Champ Lennox Lewis Enjoys Fury's 'Mind Games' on Klitschko, Says it will Affect Him During Fight

Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has been incessant with his antics towards former champion Wladimir Klitschko, ahead of their rematch.

Part two is scheduled to take place on July 9th, at the Manchester Arena, where Fury supposedly holds the hometown advantage.

The 27-year old Fury has always been known for his brash antics, and the build-up to their rematch has been expectedly no different. During the pre-fight press conference held in late April, Fury took off his shirt to reveal his bulging gut, and went on to throw insults towards the former long-time champion.

"You might be going down as a Hall of Fame fighter but you are hall of dogsh-t fighter in my eyes," Fury said. "If the super champion can't land on a big, fat, lazy Gypsy with a loud mouth, what kind of super champion is he? He must be a sh-t one."

Fury went on to lambast Klitschko for his performance during their first fight in November in Dusseldorf, Germany, noting how "Dr. Steelhammer" merely landed "four punches in twelve rounds."

Apparently, some of the sport's legends believe that Fury's antics may be working towards his advantage, after all. According to former heavwyweight world champion Lennox Lewis, Fury's antics could be affecting Klitschko in a deeper way, and it could be evident during the fight itself.

"Fury played with the Ukrainian's head by doing that. They were the actions of a very confident man," Lewis said in an interview with the Telegraph. "When Klitschko does see Fury, who will get in shape now ahead of the fight, it will affect him."

But at the same time, Lewis believes that all the brash words could backfire at Fury, particularly concerning the people outside of the sport.

"You have to realise that it affects a lot of people and it is part of the growing pains of being the world heavyweight champion – knowing what to say at the right time and making sure you say the right things," Lewis said.
