'Vikings' Season 4 News, Update: Clive Standen Says Rollo Has Nothing to Go Back in Kattegat

Clive Standen, who plays the mighty Viking warrior, Rollo, teased that the upcoming fourth season of History Channel's "Vikings" will have more "incredible stuff" that could surpass that of Season 3.

"We've got the biggest boats battles," the actor told the people from Entertainment Weekly during its Comic-Con Bash this weekend.

"We've got capsized long boats, vikings fighting in the sea. It's incredible stuff," he added.

As for his character, the 33-year-old said that Season 4 will find Rollo exactly to where he was left off in Season 3, which is in Paris.

"Rollo got offered the land and the princess by Charles, and I don't think he really thought about it that much," he told the publication. "It seems like a win-win scenario. He's got nothing to go back for in Kattegat anymore."

But the reality of his new situation will eventually hit him like train.

"I don't think he really realized that the French people, the last time they saw him he was the crazy bear with his top off ransacking Paris," he explained to the media outlet. "He thinks this is going to be an easy ride, and then we've all seen how he reacted to Gisla's speech. He hasn't got a clue. He doesn't even speak the language. There's no going back."

Nonetheless, the star promised that fans won't be entirely disappointed with Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) brother.

"We're going to see a completely different Rollo, if he's ever going to conquer Paris and conquer the princess," he said. "He has to be far more cerebral, he has to be on his A-game all the time, and his attitude to Ragnar has to change. He can't always be in the doldrums of being this second-best brother that's in the shadows."

"Vikings" Season 4 premieres sometime in 2016 on History Channel.
