Watch This Amazing Ape Build a Fire and Roast Marshmallows (VIDEO)

Kanzi is one perceptive primate. He's a bonobo, a close relative to the common chimpanzee, who is renowned for his linguistic aptitude. He can use hundreds of lexigrams, or symbols that represent words, to communicate with humans, and he's a whiz with tools.

In addition to all that, Kanzi appears to have a mastery of two of the most fundamental elements in all of creation: fire and marshmallows.

This video from the BBC's "Monkey Planet" documents the bonobo building a fire, skewering marshmallows with a stick and roasting them. Someone give Kanzi some graham crackers and chocolate already...
