When This Church Small Group Meets, No One Says a Word (VIDEO)

Credit :

The small group is a useful tool for churches across America, and they're all quite similar. A dozen or so members meet at someone's house or a coffee shop to discuss life, the Bible and/or the week's sermon. Prayers are said, baked goods are consumed, conversation about the popular TV shows or sporting events is made.

Even in a megachurch like Mars Hill Church in Seattle, hundreds of small groups play out the same way – except one. When this standout group meets, no one utters a word.

Half of the members of this group linked to the church's Bellevue campus are deaf, so their meetings are held using American Sign Language. In this 2011 video, group leader Lindsey Kasowski and member Josiah Cheslik share how the group is ministering to the hearing impaired within the church, and to the deaf community in Seattle as a whole.
