Georgianna Reid is over 60, and she's owned her Kansas City, Mo. home for 33 years. While some find peace and fulfillment from maintaining a picturesque lawn, Reid was done with it all. So when a contractor messed up her yard, she saw the opportunity to take a drastic step that would free her: replace the verdant blades of grass with 80 tons of sand.
