Woman Stabbed Man With Seashell Four Times

A Florida woman is behind bars after she attacked a man with a sea shell and then proceeded to bite his ear during the attack.

Patricia Wehr, 41, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after she repeatedly stabbed a man with a sea shell and then partially severed the man's ear.

According to police reports officers were dispatched at 3 a.m. on May 15 following a 911 call to a house in Port Saint Lucie.

The victim told police that the two had gone out for drinks to relax after Wehr became stressed over an upcoming court appearance for another unrelated battery charge. After the pair returned home they began arguing and that is when she stabbed him four times with the sea shell.

Police explained that Wehr was intoxicated and started the argument. They stated that the argument started in the bedroom after she became agitated and tried to grab the victim's head and scratch his face.

Police also said that Wehr bit his ear while they were still in the bedroom before following her victim into the kitchen. The police report indicated that the Wehr stabbed his shoulder about four times with a "sea shell similar to a thin conch shell."

The police arrived and found the victim on the couch. The victim explained that he tried to get away, and it wasn't until he sat on the couch and dialed 911 that Wehr stopped her attack.

Wehr told police that she was a dental assistant and was going to lose her job due to her upcoming court appearance. She also said that the reason for the attack was due to the fact the victim refused to leave her house after she asked him several times to go.

She was taken to St. Lucie County Jail where she remained on Friday on zero bond, jail officials said.
