'WWE 2K16' DLC: Future Stars Pack Arrives Next Week

WWE and Take Two Interactive have announced the release date of its Future Stars Pack. The "WWE 2K16" DLC will be available next week.

In a post at the official "WWE 2K16" website, WWE and Take Two revealed that the Future Stars DLC will release on Sony's PlayStation 4 and PS3, as well as on Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox 360 on Jan. 26.

The DLC will add five new playable characters to the game's ever-growing roster. The Future Stars Pack features Samoa Joe and two tag teams. There's Los Matadores consisting of Diego and Fernando and then there's the tag team of Blake and Murphy. WWE and Take Two promised to show fans a glimpse of these new characters in action before the DLC launches on Tuesday.

The Future Stars Pack is also one of five packs that's included with the "WWE 2K16" Season Pass. The season pass is available for $24.99 and offers players with more than 20 percent savings. It can be bought from Sony or Microsoft digital stores, Gamestop, Amazon, and other retailers.

The Season Pass includes the following expansion packs:

  • Accelerator
  • New Moves Pack
  • Legends Pack
  • 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase
  • Future Stars Pack

In the Accelerator add-on content, players will have access to all unlockable content, excluding downloadable content. The Accelerator DLC sells for $1.99 on its own.

The New Moves Pack offers to add more than 30 new moves for players to use in matches, including WWE Diva Nikki Bella's Corner Enzuigiri, WWE Diva Paige's Avalanche Ram, and more. The DLC is available as a single purchase for $3.99.

The 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase features palyable matches with 20 Hall of Famers, including Rikishi vs. The Rock, Alundra Blayze vs. Paige, and more. The 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase is available for $9.99 when bought separately.

The Legends Pack, which sells for $8.99 on its own, adds six WWE Legends to the game's roster. These WWE Legends include "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Perfect, Lita, and Trish Stratus.
