You Won't Believe What Noise Comes Out of This Frog!
This Desert Rain Frog is so little and so adorable that it makes you want to take it home with you. Its call is a high-pitched squeal that's as sympathetically appealing as any weaning puppy's whimper. But man is it weird looking.
It seems like the billowing blow-back from the effort of making those sounds puts the wee frog off-balance. And more than that, it's hard to see how its unwieldy bloated torso would allow him to move. Is he calling to his friends to bring a tiny wagon so that they can pull him around inside?
