2018 Nissan GT-R Release Date, Specs, Price News: Sports Car Available for Under $100,000

Nissan has announced pricing for the 2018 GT-R. The high-performance sports car is now available to purchase at the Japanese automaker's dealerships nationwide for under $100,000.

The 2018 Nissan GT-R retains last year's enhancements, including a refreshed design language and more power under the hood. However, for the new model year, Nissan is also introducing a new trim — Pure — which has a starting price of $99,999, making it the most affordable 2018 GT-R model.

For prospective customers who want more options, the Premium trim grade is available for $110,490. Standard features include a Bose audio system with 11 speakers, active noise cancellation and active sound enhancement, as well as a titanium exhaust system.

There is also the 2018 GT-R Track Edition, which comes with a larger, more distinct "V-motion" grille with a matte chrome finish that increases airflow to the engine. It also shares the iconic GT-R Nismo's wide front fenders. The limited edition model comes with a starting price of $128,490.

As for the flagship model of the range, the 2018 GT-R Nismo features motorsport-inspired components as well as enhanced aerodynamics, suspension and powertrain. Standard features include carbon fiber exterior components, Recaro front bucket seats and an Alcantara-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel, among others. These allow the high-powered vehicle to perform both on the road and on the track.

The 2018 GT-R Nismo's price starts at $175,490.

All models are powered by a 3.8-liter 24-valve twin-turbocharged V6 engine that delivers 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. However, the 2018 GT-R Nismo has been enhanced to produce 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and equipped with an all-wheel-drive system.

Other new features for the 2018 model year include the NissanConnect infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and a new black "Kure Night" color scheme for the Premium Interior Package.

The 2018 Nissan GT-R will also have an additional $1,695 charge for delivery and handling.
