Ashley Tisdale 'You're Always Here' Single Released

Ashley Tisdale is embracing her emotional side with the new single "You're Always Here" which was inspired by her late grandfather.

The newly-engaged singer/actress teased about the new track last week on Twitter, referring to her "special project."

Furthermore, Tisdale received help working on the single from her fiancé, Christopher French.

The uplifting ballad features Tisdale singing about her late grandfather, Arnold, in lyrics that include the touching chorus: "They say that love won't die / And then I realize / What will be will be / You're always here with me / And in the darkest night / I feel you by my side / What will be will be / You're always here with me."

One day ahead of releasing "You're Always Here," Tisdale posted a special tribute to her grandfather via Twitter.

"#yourealwayshere #specialproject…. Dedicated to my Pop Pop Arnold 12/16," the actress wrote along with a photo taken with her grandfather in what appears to be a hospital room.

The song is available on iTunes. 

Meanwhile, Tisdale said that French was there for her at the time of the grandfather's death three months ago before gushing over the musician/producer. The 28-year-old actress got engaged to French after just months of dating during an elaborate proposal atop New York City's Empire State Building back in August.

"You know, I didn't [think it'd happen that quickly]," Tisdale acknowledged while on "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" on Monday. "I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it."

The "High School Musical" alum went on to explain that French felt the same way at the time of their introduction.

"I was like, 'OK, this is the guy,' and he knew the same thing," she said, via the Los Angeles Times. "It was just this feeling that it doesn't get any better. I can't explain it! It's just natural between us. With other relationships, you're trying too much and trying to make it work and then there's just a moment when you find somebody and you're like, 'Holy s---! This is so natural.'"

Nevertheless, Tisdale and French have not set a wedding date yet, but are having "so much fun" planning the ceremony which will be "small, and as private as we can get it," the actress said.
