'Assassin's Creed Identity': First 'Assassin's Creed' Mobile Game Coming to iOS This Month

Good news for "Assassin's Creed" fans who have been aching to play the game on their mobile devices. Ubisoft has recently announced the series' first mobile game will be coming to iOS this month.

The new game is titled "Assassin's Creed Unity." In it, players can "create, evolve, and customize" their own assassins. These assassins have been given the task to solve the mystery surrounding The Crows through a series of missions and quests.

Players start from being a novice assassin who belong to one of four classes, namely Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster, and Thief. According to IGN, the Berserker class specializes in direct combat, while the Shadow Blade class is great for players who want to have stealth on their side. The Thief class offers players agility and quick movement when they steal and lay traps. Meanwhile, the Trickster class is a jack-of-all trades sort of assassin.

The game is set in Renaissance Italy through which players must navigate in order to achieve their goal. The location features various cities and some famous landmarks. For instance, the game takes players to the Santa Croce area in Firenze and the Colosseum area in Rome, according to IGN.

Ubisoft has provided players with more than one way to control their characters. Players can control their assassins using dual virtual sticks, a gamepad, or touch-to-move.

The game comes from developer Blue Byte, who also made "The Settlers" series. "Assassin's Creed Identity" was crated using the Unity game engine.

The new game will be available on the iOS App Store on Feb. 25. "Assassin's Creed Unity" can be played on iPad 3 or later, iPhone 5 or later, and other Apple devices that have iOS 7 installed.

The game will be available for Android devices as well. Ubisoft has promised to announce more information at a later date.
