It's a battle between Southeast Division teams as the Atlanta Hawks host the Miami Heat at the Philips Arena in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

The match is on December 14, 2015 at 8:00 PM ET.

Both teams are trying to climb the rankings in the division as the Heat are currently second in the group with a 13-9 record, only 0.5 games behind the leaders, the Charlotte Hornets.

Beneath them are the Hawks with a 14-11 record and only 1.0 games behind the leaders – making this coming battle a very important one as the winner will hold the second seed at the very least.

This is the second meeting for the season between the two teams and they are scheduled to meet again twice after this coming clash.

The first meeting between the two teams was at the AmericanAirlines Arena and it was a tightly contested battle – with the Hawks only leading by one point after the first quarter.

In the second, they began to add space between them by going +10 to lead by 11 at the half.

By the third quarter, it seems that Atlanta were pulling away as they outscored them again by three points to lead by a commanding 14 points before the last 12 minutes of the game.

For the Heat, they still had one run left and they battled and scored 27 points while holding Atlanta to only 19.

Unfortunately, they fell short as Miami lost 98-92.

Jeff Teague played great for Atlanta as he scored 26 points and dished out nine assists in 34 minutes of play, while Hassan Whiteside was the brightest spot for Miami with 23 points and 14 rebounds while playing 31 minutes.
