Ben Affleck Feels Confident About 2016 Premiere of 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice'

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2016 and will be featuring DC Comics characters Superman and Batman. It's supposedly the sequel to 2013's "Man of Steel" and is the second title in the DC Cinematic Universe installment.

Earlier when the casting was announced for the film, Ben Affleck's casting for the role of Batman was met with mostly negative backlash from fans of the franchise since Affleck's last role as the Daredevil. Apparently, fans are nervous that Affleck would be a bad fit for the movie but it might be a little comforting for fans to know that Affleck also shares the same sentiments.

"Indeed I have regrets about Daredevil. Look, if I thought we were remaking 'Daredevil,' I'd be out there picketing myself," Affleck said during an appearance on "All Things Considered" last weekend.

"I'm hard on myself and I have exacting standards and I want to do excellent work and I don't always succeed, but I think you have to start out with that drive," he added.

Affleck feels quite confident about the 2016 release.

"I feel very confident about it. I thought it would be nice to make one of these movies really, really good," he says.

Affleck also explained about what makes the film different from his last superhero film, "Daredevil."

"'Batman v Superman' was written by Chris Terrio, who wrote 'Argo,' who's not a comic guy, and it's directed by Zack Snyder, who's an incredibly magical sort of visual stylist who's stepped in the comic world," he explained.
