Best Buy Black Friday Sales Attract Camping Shoppers Already

Best Buy has unveiled its latest Black Friday doorbuster deals, including the prices for a host of the most sought-after electronics, and some consumers have already set up tents outside of stores in anticipation of the event.

The electronics retail giant only opens its doors on Friday at 12 a.m., but News Chanel 5 already has a report of a woman who set up camp in Avon, Ohio, outside of a Best Buy store on Saturday.

"I’m crazy, I think I am, aren’t we all a little crazy? Thanksgiving, my mom is going to cook dinner and bring it up here and we're going to have like a little picnic,” – explained Desiree Larenze, who plans on saving around $2,000 by being the first person on line.

Although she is the only one so far camping outside the store in Avon, others across the nation are getting on board with the idea and waiting in line extra early. PC Magazine announced last night the latest Best Buy sales, which promise huge savings on HDTVs, laptops, and other electronics.

Two of the most notable deals will be a 42-inch Sharp HDTV priced at $199.99, which gives customers $300 in savings. An even more impressive offer is the 15.6-inch Samsung laptop, whose original price is $999.99, but will be down to $299.99 on the big shopping spree day.

There will only be a limited availability on each deal and customers will have to get tickets while on line if they want to get the items they want. According to the PC website, each store will have 10 tickets for every special-sale item, and each shopper will only be able to get one. This means that people will have to plan to be at the store quite a bit earlier than midnight.

Not everyone is prepared to camp out five days in advance of the event, but Thursday night will certainly be a hectic time for both consumers and employees.
